Canada Day and other stuff

Once again, we celebrate our country's birthday -  Happy 146th Birthday Canada!!  Looking forward to the BBQ at Auntie Anne and Uncle Peter's later today.  The entire Thorsen family will be there.

Yesterday, Scott participated in the North Bay Triathlon.  He was asked to do the bike portion at the last minute for one of Amy's co-workers.  They had a valiant finish. I am always so proud of him.  The Burnt Helmets also put a team in and finished in 2nd place.  Way to go, Amy, Denis and Dave!

Last weekend we headed to Albion Hills for the 24Hrs Summer Solstice Mountain Bike Race.  The goal this year was to have fun and finish with no injuries.  Mission accomplished!!  The weather was hot and humid - but at least there was no rain.  Here are a few pics.

News on the referral front is very discouraging right now.  We are almost done all the paperwork for our home study update - yes, we had to get that done, AGAIN! And, there has been no referrals since the end of April.  The CCAA has implemented a new computer system and it was full of bugs.  Great!!  We are patiently waiting for news.  I say patiently, but it just means I stopped checking the website every day.  It was driving me nuts!  Hopefully I can report on referrals soon.

Gee whiz. Was so hoping you wouldn't have to redo your paperwork. UGH!

Congrats on the triathlon! Right on!
