Matching was done just around Christmas and the "box" has now been officially updated.  They have matched up to Oct/13/06.  Recently, some friends were checking out our blog and asked what all these crazy dates mean.  Here is the low down:

When we completed our homestudy and sent it to our adoption agency (Children's Bridge), it was translated to Mandarin and sent to the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs) with some other families files that were also ready to go.  We were given a group number - Group 278.  This number was specific to Children's Bridge only.  We were 7 families when we started but due to the long timelines, that number has dwindled to just us.

Once our file was received in China and officially entered into their system, we were given a login date - Nov/10/2006.  This is the date we use to track our progress.

This is how it works: the CCAA gather the files and assign a login date (LID).  They then use these dates for the matching process. For each day they match, they assign babies to the waiting families.  The number of babies that are "paper-ready" determines the number of days they match.  The number of files per LID and the number of children placed worldwide each month is unknown to us.  We only know that number has been drastically reduced since we started this process.  I hope this helps to explain what we are talking about.
