We left North Bay on Wednesday at 9:55am.  Mom and Dad came to see us off and brought the sign they made.   It brought a tear to my eye.  They also came to the airport to take the truck back home for us.  We had the greatest view of the city on the flight out.  We even saw Dad pull into our driveway!

Tickets to Beijing

We had a bit of a layover in Toronto and had some fun.  I had the wind blowing in my hair and Scott made Bionic Man sounds as we took the turbo walkway to our gate.    It was a riot.  We grabbed some lunch, picked up a gift and watched some TV on the tablet.  We boarded the plan and 13 plus one hour time change later, we landed in Beijing.   The flight was uneventful.  We both slept for the first part of the trip, which helped a bit with the jetlag.

By the time we cleared security, got our luggage, found our guide and got to the hotel, it was around 7pm.  We had a quick bite to eat and I was asleep by 830pm.  I woke up twice in the night.  Scott only woke up once.   What a long day that was! Glad we made it in one piece.
