Last year, we were hoping that we would be travelling to China by this summer. That prediction was certainly off. I had dreams of my little rabbit and was not so fond of the idea of having a dragon. Apparently I am wrong. The Chinese believe that Dragons are lucky. Who knew?

Dragon are considered to be the angels of the Orient- wise, friendly and beautiful. They are loved and worshipped. Dragons are commonly associated with festivals and folklore. Many oriental cultures use dragons in their art especially China, Korea and Japan.



So, how do you tell the difference between a Chinese dragon and a Japanese dragon you ask?






Count the toes of course!!



Chinese dragons have 5 toes......
where as a Japanese dragon will only have 3.






To the Chinese, children born in the Year of the Dragon are most desirable. Dragon babies are considered the luckiest and that good fortune will follow them wherever they go. Guess she will be one lucky child!!
